The binding of the "HON" notebook uses the same "thread-stitched binding" method as the Hobonichi Techo notebook itself,

The notebook itself uses "Tomoe River," a thin, lightweight, and durable paper specifically for notebooks. It is characterized by its smooth writing feel and easy ink absorption. Bonus pages at the back include the standard "My 100," "Favorites," and "About the 24 Solar Terms" in the Japanese version, as well as newly added "Opening Phrases for Diary Writing," "Sign Language to Remember," and "Hobonichi's Neighborhood: Kanda/Jinbo-cho Guide" in the Japanese version, and the standard "My 100," "Favorites," and "365 Days Check-Off Sheet," as well as newly added "Phrases to Break That Writer's Block," "Hard-to-Translate Japanese Words," and "Hobonichi's Neighborhood: Kanda/Jinbo-cho Map" in the English version.
